3yo Boy "Bucking" When Tired... Normal?

Hi, my first post, so please forgive me if I make any glaring errors in etiquette!

My 3yo boy has a habit, that he has had since he was mobile, of "bucking" when tired and wanting to sleep. What was a cute habit is rapidly becoming something that we are wondering whether we need to do something about, as sleepovers etc are going to be coming soon... He finds it funny, and giggles - when we ask him why he does it, his answer is always that "it's funny" or "I like it"...

Should we be concerned? Or is it something that boys just do and grow out of?

Thanks in advance for any advice or replies! Smile

I have a DS turned 4 last week and since xmas he was getting very public and fixated on 'wiggling' as we euphamistically called it. Mostly when tired, he said it helped him get to sleep and he liked it. We tried to distract him, daddy was less cool about it being within a range of normal! But all my reading up said it was not unusual. Just returned from a week away and he hasn't done it once.He will stop eventually. We did talk about what is ok in private and what is ok in company

Thanks for your reply - I think "wiggling" is probably better than "bucking"!

I hadn't been able to find anything about it - probably due to not really knowing how to describe it without ending up on websites that would DEFINITELY not be what I was looking for!

My boy turns 4 in a few months so we'll just persevere for now and cross fingers and toes that he grows out of it before long! Smile
