Our 12 month old dd wakes regular in the night and the only way we can settle her back to sleep is to rock her. Her bed time routine is bath, cuddle and bedtime bottle at which point she may falls asleep, if not we have to rock her to put her down. We think this may have started when she was teething quite bad so we would would pick her up from the cot to comfort her. We decided to try the Jo Frost CC technique last night and found it horrendous! She fell a sleep after her bottle at 7.30 and then woke at 9.15, we started the checks at 2 minutes, 4 minutes ect up to 1 hour and then started again, it took nearly 4 and half hours when she eventually fell asleep at 1.38 and woke at 6.15! Can someone please advise if they have had a first night as hard and long as that! My dd is her usually happy self today although tired, not looking forward to nap time. Please help
