Sleep probably sorted now but we used Sian Thomas, she has a website www.sleepbabies.co.uk and really helped is with our daughter. Really lovely woman and she slept through after. 3 weeks... Good Luck

We tried back when DS was 4 or 5 months (he's 3 now). I thought she was going to be the answer to all our prayers. She did a free initial consultation. She seemed nice enough but she came at things from really odd angles.

E.g. DH was struggling to settle DS and he settled easier for me. Her solution, don't send DH in. She recommended me to do all the night wakings. Hmm

We didn't bother going ahead.

We used someone when DD was 6-7 months, she specialized in nutrition too, so helped us with weaning as well as weaning off feeding to sleep for naps and help with night wakings - all in all i found it very useful, we got the daytime routine down brilliantly, with very good napping. Night times took a little longer, and DD still has a feed at around 5am (she's 10 months now) but she sleeps brilliantly up to that time, and again afterwards so I'm happy with that as it's a massive improvement on before!

It did feel like a lot of money, but it was definitely worth it from my POV. Her name is Hannah Love, and THIS is her website.

How much does a package cost - roughly?

Flissity83 · 16/07/2014 19:44

Ginger - how old is your baby?

fuzzywigsmum · 16/07/2014 20:03

Ginger - we used Andrea Grace and found her enormously helpful. I was having a real wobble about sleep training as I'd been co-sleeping and being very baby-led but also losing the plot because I felt like DD2 was holding me hostage. I went to a consultant because I felt like I needed someone to tell me what to do and to make sure the approach we took took account of DD2's personality and my patenting approach.

From the research I did, most consultants charge about 300. Although we just did a 30 min Skype call with Andrea and some follow up emails for 100 as she doesn't offer her full programme for babies under 6 months.

I did also contact sian Thomas who sounded lovely but we couldn't make the timing work.

£235 and the best money I ever spent
