Is this a phase do you think? Eating enough warm enough etc. the going in and shhhing won't work with him so I either let him cry or I get up. He did something similar about 8 months. Rising about 5am at min. Advice appreciated.

Is it perhaps time to go down to one nap? My DD did this at around 15 months and dropping the second nap worked. Or maybe blackout blinds?

Got blackouts. Possibly yes re the nap...

My 2yo goes through phases of this and has done since he was little. I just go in and put him back to bed (when he was younger and in cot I went in lay him back down and shushed for a min) and do this every time he gets up. I think it's just a habit he has to get out of.
I decided I wasn't going to let him get up until 6am so anytime before that I put him back down. Sometimes he goes back to sleep, sometimes I'm up every few mins but after a couple of days he breaks the habit and goes back to sleeping til his normal time (6.30ish)
I think you need to just persevere with putting him back to bed if you're not happy letting him get up at that time xx
