Sleepsuits with integral scratchmitts in larger sizes?

I have a really tall 8 months old (fits a fair few bits of 12-18 month stuff) who claws himself awake - we are reluctantly weaning him off the truly miraculous Swaddle Up 50/50 by getting one arm out.

Every time we do, he goes from STTN to at least one wake up. (I know how very lucky I am) I think it's the clawing rather than the flailing. So I'm looking for sleepsuits with integral scratchmitts in larger sizes - they all seem to stop at 6-9 months.

Does anyone know where sells them? Thank you in advance.

I bought larger ones for my DD in Next. Can't remember what size, but they also came up big on her, so she was in them for ages. I think we also had some from Matalan.

They are expensive, and don't come up especially long ime, but jojo babygros have scratch mitts up to 12 months.

Second the jojo ones, however I have an 8 mth dd who isn't especially long and she has a couple of the jojo ones in 6-12 mths and she won't be in them past 9 mths I doubt..

What you need are socks- the ones which are ribbed and fold over are great as you can unfold and put them on so they go all the way up the arm, making them more difficult for the little monkeys to get off!

Cheaper than the sleepsuits, so worth a go (although my now 10 month old has now become expert at removing them!)Grin

Try a company called The Essential One (online). I have been given some of their sleep suits as a gift. My DS hasn't grown into them yet so I can't comment on quality and fit but I have same difficulties as you in getting scratch mits past the 12 month size.

I used to get them from John Lewis and matalan ....

So I admitted defeat after we used an stretched Gap sleepsuit with scratch mitts and took the Swaddle wings off...and he couldn't get to sleep. Sad
So it seems it IS the flailing as well as the clawing.

I've bought the next size Swaddle Up 50/50... BUT also found online these things called Scratchsleeves. It's like a bolero/shrug but with the ends sewn up and silk bits on them. It was only £9.75 with free postage so if it doesn't help it hasn't been too horrendous a waste of money.

Will see how we get on with that once I'm brave enough to get one of his arms out again. And I will just have to trust that he will have the wit to turn his head to one side and maintain airway each time he flips over in his cot. Blush
