When and how often does your 9 to 10 month old nap?!

Hi everyone,

My 9month old baby started to crawl two days ago, and every since her schedule has been all messed up!

She always needed three naps like clockwork.. and now I don't know what she needs, though she doesn't want to nap at all it seems. This literally all changed overnight!

I guess we need a new nap scheudule. What time does your baby take a nap? and how often? What time is bed time for your lil' one?

Becky is just 10 months. She has anywhere from 1.5hrs - 2.5hrs from 10am and then about an hour-1.5hrs at about 3pm

Up at 6.45am and bed at 7pm

8 months old, been crawling for last 2 months.
Sleeps after 2nd bottle in the morning, about 10.30ish and again in afternoon between luch and tea. bed 7 /7.30 ish until 7am the folowing morning.

Thomcat · 28/08/2006 23:13

oh and she has about 1 -1.5hrs in the morning, now and then a bit ore, and in the afternoon, about the same, sometimes a bit longer. So average 3 hours napping a day.

aitch71 · 28/08/2006 23:15

how does the 'between lunch and tea' nap work, thomcat? my dd is the same as yours, but i worry that late nap is now encroaching on her night-time sleep as for the last week she's refused to go down until after 9pm. she's knackered, but won't go down. it's a real pain, actually.

flutterbee · 28/08/2006 23:17

ds is nearly 10 months and is napping for anything from 1hr to 3hrs a day, generally he will have a short nap in the morning and then a long nap in the afternoon, bed between 7-8 and up again between 7-8 next morning

it's usually about 3ish, today was 4 woke at 5 for tea. I wore her out playing, bath at 7.15, a last feed, asleep by just tgone 7.30 in time to read DD1 a story and she was asleep before he end. Perfect!

Lavender room spray for kids?

everythign stinks of olbas oil at the moment, she's had a cold. i'll stick some lavender oil into the bath and humidifier tomorrow, see if that makes a difference. cheers.

Thomcat · 28/08/2006 23:37

Do you ahve quite a strict nightime routine aitch. idon't really but evening always ends with last feed in her nursery, dimmer switch barely on, head stroke, dummy, cot. I leav eher to cry for a few mins, f still screaming replace dummy once and leave. No eye contact at all.

try a bit of a lavender massage after a bath???

aitch71 · 28/08/2006 23:54

i'm a bit crap at routines, i find, just becasue both dh and i work from home and never have the same day twice. we are going to Try Harder tomorrow.
