please can someone help me before i go insane

My ds2 is 2.4 and is an angel with everything excepy bedtime. We have just potty trained him and he is dry day and night (took 3 weeks ). Becaus ehe isn't wearing a nappy at night, we put him into a big bed so that he can get out to go to the toilet if he needs to.

It now takes up to an hour every night of him getting out and us putting him back into bed. He has all of his bedtime toys, a box of books at the end of his bed and we bought him a "bob the builder duvet set" (his idol!)

What am i doing wrong? I don't remember having this with my other 2

i have that problem with both of mine.
after a while he will begin to understand that he has to stay in his bed.
i think the major problem might be if you have told him he can get up to use the toilet.
i think 2.4 is very young to be dry at night. would you consider keeping him nappies at night so he learns to stay in his bed?
then once he has settled you can take the nappies away again.

if i put him back into nappies, he would just take ie off again to go to the tiolet so that wouldn't really work
