Getting ds to sleep in his cot

Hi, I needs some advice or tips in how to get ds to sleep in his cot. He is 14 months old.

We got into the habit of letting him sleep in our bed over the last couple of months as out heating has been rubbish and his room had been very cold over night.

He will happily sleep in our bed for hours but if I move him into the cot he'll us tally wake after an hour or so and stand screaming at the end of the cot.

I do give in most of the time and let him sleep in bed with us as I'm too tired to go through the nightly fights with him!

Sent help appreciated as I'd love to get a good nights sleep without getting kicks and pushed out of the bed!

Sorry if this is obvious and you've already ruled it out, but could he possibly be cold and missing the extra heat from bed sharing? My DS sleeps better when he's well wrapped up, his room doesn't seem to heat up as much as outs during the night.

Thank you for the reply. I think it is part of the problem although he will sleep in my bed for hours without covers or anyone beside him.

He won't sleep in a sleeping bag and he kicks off blankets. I have tried heating the cot with a hot water bottle before putting him in.

Maybe it's the cot? Do you think it's at all possible that he is ready for a bed ( with a rail of coarse to keep him safe) but maybe he enjoys the space?
