Side settling and moving to cot

Hi, I've been settling DD 14 weeks in her moses basket on her side for naps and some of the night. Partly because she needs a good pat to get her settled and partly because she has co-slept from birth so it seemed more natural to sleep on her side. She's swaddled and bolstered with towels in her Moses basket. If I don't prop her up or swaddle her she wakes up after about an hour and even when I do she's not doing longer than 3 hour stretches - but that's another story. I now need to move her to her cot where it won't be so easy to wedge her on her side, so I'm wondering what others have done in this situation? Should I just roll her into her back once she's asleep? Sorry, this probably seems like a really stupid question but I'm dealing with various conundrums at the moment and am fairly sleep deprived, so any problem solving help appreciated! Thanks!

My DS use still sleeps on his side :)
I bought a sleep positioner on the internet when he was a new born which he hated so I used a pillow to keep him on his side, very flat pillow which he lay on and then "tucked" the pillow in under itself so his body weight kept it in place. Hope that makes sense!

Thanks Tired, I think I know what you mean. I suppose once she can roll I can settle her on her side and she can decide to do whatever. That's if I've let her out of her swaddle by then! scratches head and moves onto next problem

Did it work? Did you get her to sleep on her side? :)

I've not tried the pillow yet coz she's still in her basket so I use towels and my old teddy! It's moving her to the cot I'm worried about, so may try it then.

I had DS take a couple of naps in his cot to get him used to the Idea? :)
