Hello :)
I have a 22mo terrible sleeper. Slept through about twice in her entire life. Me and DP on verge of killing each other because we are beyond tired and tempers are flaring because we can't agree on what to do.

She won't fall asleep on her own at all. We have tried so much but she was in with us (reasons beyond our control) til she was 15 months old and she couldn't get used to us not being there.

Once we leave the room she cries. And cries and cries. Its not a simple case of she will wear herself out and fall asleep eventually she will cry til she vomits and headbuts the cot, making her cry all over again.

She also wakes up and upsets next doors dd (thin terraced house) which isnt fair so we can't let her cry, we end up bringing her in our bed, which I know is causing more problems.

Thing is I have no idea how to get her to sleep on her own without her screaming and screaming, which isn't an option.

DPs answer is take her downstairs but this isnonly encouraging her to wake up. Feel so lost and depressed over this as nearly 2 years of no sleep is taking its toll on us and our relationship.

help!!

Could you get her a bed and lie with her in that til she goes to sleep, then do gradual withdrawal when you/ she is ready?
