Hi , I guess I just want to run this by some experienced mums.....

Ever since my ds was born he has more or less followed the same pattern - waking at 1 or 1.30 am and again at 4 ish, both times taking a bottle . I put him down around 10 pm ( he will go to sleep earlier but then wakes super early like 4 am ! ) , usually wakes around 7am.

I was expecting some kind of progress , ie only waking once or maybe sleeping through , but for 10 weeks nothing has changed. Granted , he is easier to settle than a few weeks ago but do I need to do anything to instigate longer sleep?

I'm so tired everyday I was hoping to be getting a bit more sleep by now. Naive?!

Watching with interest. DS is only 6 weeks but also hoping he might start going a bit longer between feeds soon and reliably able to put down at a relatively predictable time each night!

hey. ds is just 11 weeks. ebf. he goes down about 9pm and was waking about 1ish then 4am ish to feed. just this week he has started just waking about 3am so just feeding once. it will be all change again a a few weeks so don't sweat it! they are still so diddy!!

if he is taking both bottles he obv needs them. waking twice at 10 weeks is good going i think.
one night you will check the time and realise he has only once!
then they will start teething and it will all go tits up again!

At this age, there is no such thing as usually. They change so fast that each week is like a year to them in behaviour at this point so just hang on in there OP!

And yes, twice a night is really good at this age.

twice a night at ten weeks is amazing!

Ha ha!! If my 3 year old only wakes twice a night, that's a reasonably good night!

And I have a 19 week old aswell, he wakes on average every hour to hour and a half.

Twice a night at 10 weeks is indeed amazing!
