Naps for 8 month old

Hello

I am just trying to get some idea of how many naps my 8 month old should be having. He currently has 4 bottles a day and two meals, though will be starting to give 3 meals shortly. I don't know how to fit everything in.

He goes to bed at night around 8 or half 8 at the moment (bottle around half 7) and sleeps 10+ hours at night. He is fussing to go to bed sooner I think because he is resisting his afternoon nap/naps. So yesterday I tried giving him his bottle at 7 but he wouldn't settle once upstairs and I had to bring him back down.

He has a reliable morning nap of 1.5 - 2 hours but after this it just depends. Sometimes he has one, sometimes two naps. I see his cues and put him down for a nap, but some days he will fight even though he is clearly exhausted. When he is 'nap resisting' he is ready for his nap too late and I just can't get the timing right. A couple of times I have woke him to give him his last bottle, change nappy and straight back to bed.

My DS is 8 months old and we have 2 naps a day. I'll give you a run down of his routine I felt like you trying to fit all his feeds and naps into the day,
7:00 bottle
8:00 breakfast
9:30 nap 1 hour
11;00bottle
12:00 lunch
1:30 nap 1-2 hours
3:00 bottle
5:00 tea
6;30 bath
7:00 bottle & bed

Hope that helps :)

We would have three at that age

Roughly:
Am - 1hr
After lunch -2hrs
Late afternoon - 30-45mins

Around 12 months dropped late afternoon, around 18 months lost am nap. Still had after lunch until 3/4 years

Roughly 9pm-8am at 8months

Thank you, it feels like I'm constantly behind. Until recently he needed 3 naps, 2 good naps and a short one but he's now resisting .

We go for a walk after his second bottle and he tends to have a little nap towards the end then won't go for a proper nap later (he always wakes as we're arriving home). Then time just runs away from me, I gave him a bottle at 3 intending to put him down afterwards, but he took his time so I ended up giving him his food as well otherwise he'd be getting it too late.
