Bedtime routine 2 year old and newborn

My 2 1/2 DD has always been a great sleeper, with a long day time nap, but I think the time has come to reduce this nap as she's waking early in the mornings and is soon a right grump in day. She clearly needs an earlier bedtime.

Sod's law this coincides with having a new LO who's almost six weeks. He's ready to sleep (read screaming) just at the time I want to settle older one.

How on earth do people do dinner/bath/bed with two kids??

A cliche I know but my husband is getting on my nerves as gets home too late to fit with my intended new routine. He works long hours so it's down to me (and I'm soooo tired)

It's hard in the early days when LO is not predictable. Can you feed LO to while doing a story/bedtime?

Once my DS was a bit more predictable I would bath them together, story and milk together , settle DD with the iPad for Peppa (i know, but it worked) and then settled DS and went back to DD to get her to sleep.

Even now I have to employ a divide and conquer rule when doing bedtime.

It gets easier!

If she is waking early and getting grumpy/tired early would an earlier nap work? Or a shorter morning nap as well as her other which I've assumed is in two afternoon? That way bedtimes might be easier? I have a 2yo and 14w and I'm flexible about 2yo bedtime, if baby needs feeding toddler has to wait 15min!! Or if I can see baby will need feeding soonish I put toddler to bed a bit earlier, I have found flexibility is the key with 2! Maybe I'm lucky though
