Naps gone suddenly very wrong at 9 months

Hi

When my baby was tiny he wouldn't sleep in his cot at all, so we relied mainly on pram. Then he got really good - could reliably put him down wide awake and he'd fall asleep for anything between 40 mins and 1 and a half hours.

Now he's learnt to pull himself up to fitting and standing and it's all gone terribly wrong. Naps becoming a real tear-fest. I cry, he cries. More often than not I give in and then he's exhausted. TBH that reliable morning nap was the only thing keeping me going (PND) and the thought of going back to the pram is too depressing. And even the pram doesn't work reliably any more.

Sitting here with him again, have a stomach bug and pounding headache and don't know what to do anymore.

My DS struggles more to get off to sleep now he's more mobile too (10m). I find if I'm having difficulties I do resort to the pram. Lie it as flat as it goes and strap him in, takes the elements of trying to sit or stand out of the equation. I know I can put him in it and walk away, and after a few (less than 5) minutes of protesting he's off to sleep. I don't have to go for a walk or rock the pram.

Maybe I'll try that. He's never fallen asleep in his pram without it moving and usually wakes up the second it stops (including at traffic lights), but maybe he's changed again now.
