Screaming to sleep?!

My 4mo sleeps well at night (10-12hours), goes down at about 9pm as she is just not tired before then. I have always fed her to sleep but for the last week or so she will have a feed, unlatch and scream and cry until she tired herself out. I have tried winding her, walking up and down, changing her position and nappy but she just seems to hate falling asleep. She is the same during the day with naps, she will not just fall asleep peacefully! Does anyone else's lo do this or does anyone have any advice on how to stop it - I hate to think she is going to bed so miserable!

only one suggestion... When she comes off and starts screaming have you tried just tucking her into her cot? My dd does this and after many evenings rocking, shh-ing and worrying about wind I tried popping her down and she went straight out. I was actually keeping her awake when she was crying to be allowed to go to sleep.

Our dd cries herself to sleep every nap and bedtime, it sounds really horrid, but the options are-

A- sit with her until she goes to sleep, anything up to 3 hours, because she thinks it's playtime
B- give her her milk with us, then put her down, and she cries hysterically..
C- chuck her into bed, with a bottle of milk, she will finish the milk, cry for 5-10 mins and then go to sleep.....

Sometimes you just have to take the best of the bad options...
