Swaddle Question

I've had some difficulty in settling my ds at night for evening sleep. He's been in the moses basket downstairs for the past week at this time so that we can do "dummy duty"....I bought a miracle blanket yesterday (he was in a grobag) on advice from a different mumsnet thread....Well, I did the usual routine tonight, popped him in the swaddle blanket, he cried a bit and struggled a bit, then put him down in his cot instead of downstairs in moses basket - he cried, I put dummy in and then sat next to his cot (good book in hand !!) and did dummy monitor until he dropped off properly and spat it out after 40 mins (this bit can usually take 2 hours downstairs with lots of face hitting and struggling with flailing limbs). He's now been sound asleep for nearly 2 hours....wonder if he'll get to 10ish ??for next feed.
Anyway, sorry to ramble - he's in a nappy and babygro (no vest) with feet under the swaddle. The miracle blanket which lightweight stretchy cotton is obviously on top - today is warm but not hot - does that sound ok ? I'm just a bit worried re overheating and there seems to be no guidance on the box- I would usually have had him in babygro only in the 1 tog grobag.
Thanks !
