9 weeks old and fighting swaddling

Hi, my baby girl is 9 weeks old and has been sleeping well swaddled and in the moses basket, waking once for a feed. For the last couple of nights though she has been fighting against the swaddling and bashing her arms and legs against the sides of the moses basket and waking herself and me up every couple of hours. Am not sure if this is wind waking her as she really kicks her legs?
Tried moving her to her cot with a gro bag but she doesn't seem to like the space! Feel a no win situation!! Any advice or tips anyone?

only sympathy, mine refused the swaddling from week 2, and as for the arm swinging, apparently its a reflex from our monkey days, to make sure we don't fall out of the tree all you can do is try and hold her arms down when she stirs, I used to hold him until he fell asleep and put him down on his side. He is now 8.5 months and settles himself to sleep without any interference from me.

I seem to recall only swaddling DD for the first 6 weeks or so. Have you tried the Grobag but keep her in her moses basket? or try just using blankets, tuck her in quite tight but leaving her arms free?

my DS was the same, so just swaddled from under the armpits - he was fine as soon as he felt he could move his arms around - maybe give that a go.

My DS was the same. At about 6 wks he got more active and didn't like to be swaddled so I put him in a grobag but kept him in the moses basket for about another month. Maybe the change to big cot was too soon? Why not try putting baby in grobag in moses basket in cot for a while?

My 11 week old girlie has been swaddled from birth (except the hotest weather), and tonight I've bitten the bullet and put her in a grobag (but with a thin cotton sheet tightly tucked in below the arms so she has some security). She shouted a bit more than normal before dropping off and has shuffled around a bit since. She tends to wake at 4 or 5.30 usually with an arm out of her swaddling and hasn't fed in the night since about 7/8 weeks so we'll see what tonight brings!

Try swaddling her from the armpits down if that isn't successful you could try putting a rolled tea towel each side of her body under the moses basket sheet so that her arms feel that and not the basket, it would be less of a thump and the reduced space could help her feel secure.
