Alternatives to cot bumpers...?

Basically LO is 16 weeks old and sleeps in a cot whilst either myself or OH sleeps in the daybed in his room.

LO is constantly banging his head on the cot bars when he's asleep. No matter where we place him, he always ends up on his side, with his head against the bars, and because he moves around so much, we just hear the thumping as his head hits the sides :-( We just have to keep getting out of bed and moving him back to the middle of the cot on his back, but he still ends up at the sides, on his side, shortly after!

I'm aware of the dangers of bumpers, and am at a loss as to what we can do...because he presses his face on the side I see anything of that type as a suffocation risk.

I'm wondering if there is any alternative?

Google ‘Airwrap‘. Breathable bumpers that Velcro on. :)

I found them great.

I use pool noodles for cot bumpers- works well

Used to stop DS1 waking with cot bar shaped dents on his head. :)

I have an airwrap as well. good also as they collapse and they can't use them to climb out of the cot... handy now my 25mo can get out of the sleeping bag
