18mo early bird - what can I do??

Ds was nightweaned last November, amazingly, it made him sleep through 7-6.

Then over Xmas he had a virus and wasn't eating, so I fed him in the night.

Once he was better again I weaned him second time. Ever since he's been waking up at 4.45 every morning, ready for the day.

For a few days I would run in as soon as he woke and feed him back to sleep, and he slept until 6.30, but this swiftly turned into waking at 3 for a feed, then up for the day at 5 :(

So now I'm night weaning for a third time. He still wakes at 4.45/5, but dh goes in and settles him over and over until around 5.45 when we give up and he cones into our bed for morning milk.

What else can I try? Earlier/later bedtime makes no difference.

Try leaving him for a bit to see if he falls back over. Mines has been waking early since 18mo too, think it's a developmental thing too.

my 19mo wakes early, mostly around 5am, this morning it was 4:45am. He comes into our bed and we give him milk and he sometimes falls back to sleep for about another hour or so, but more often than not, he doesn't.

He basically gets betwen 9.5-10hrs sleep a night, but this just seems to be what he needs. Every ten days or so he'll randomly sleep 11/12 hours straight and sleep until past 630/7am. On those mornings of course, I am awake at 5am, checking on him ever 10 mins...!!
