Hello, my 5 months old son sleeps in the bed with me. Since he was born, he used to sleep in his cot, without any difficulties, but i went to visit my family in another country, for a month. There he used to sleep in bed with me, as i didnt wanted to buy a cot just for a month over there as well. So, since i have got back, he doesnt sleeps in the cot. When he goes to sleep, i put him in the cot, but as soon as i put him he wakes up! Help needed!

Put him back each time. Gentle rub on his back then put him back. Will take lots of goes until he remembers sleeping in his own cot. Be a few long nights for you but will pay dividends.

how's it going sweetmum?

Remember it can sometimes get worse in the middle of a good spell, but ignore that and continue on.

hi MarsLady, its going terrible , u see i start by putting him in the cot for afternoon nap, and he wakes up hardly after 10 minutes. And then whole day he is very cranky as sleepy and then doesnt goes back to sleep either and i cant do anything. Then even at night i do the samething, thinking he must be really tired that he would sleep in the cot now, but even at night he wakes hardly after 10 minutes, and then doesnt goes to sleep until 2am or 3. and by then i am so tired that i put him in the bed with me, as i dont have the strength with me to put him in the cot, thinking what if he wakes up again!! What do i do?
