DD is 9mo and we have spent the last week teaching her to self settle, having previously rocked her to sleep.

We cosleep at the moment, plan was self settle in our bed then move to cot.

Started off with her curled up against my leg, she accepted it far easier than i thought she would. Then i moved away so we were both in bed but not touching.

This went okay initially but has now gone to shit! She is falling asleep but waking up the minute i get up (and i am SAS standard stealthy!). I have been up here 90 minutes and she has fallen asleep 3 times!

I can't leave her in our bed, it isn't safe. Have i got to put her in the cot and leave her awake? The whole point of this plan was minimal crying.

Thanks

Can you put a bed for you next to the cot & move it gradually away?

I think we are going to have to. Last night I lost the will to live so DH took over. My mum says this is karma for my childhood!
