Does anyone have any experience with using a sleep consultant with an older child (e.g. Millpond)?.

DD (5) is driving me crazy every evening as she won't go to sleep until 9.30/

Oops, posted too soon.

She doesn't fall asleep until 9.30/10 then wakes at 7-7.30 and I'm convinced she needs more sleep.

We have a consistent bedtime routine and I've tried moving the actual bedtime - anything from 6.30 to 9.30 - and it doesn't seem to make any difference. But surely a 5 yr old needs more than 9 hrs sleep?! I'm finding it hard as it's making my evenings very stressful and I end up shouting lots which I hate... just feel like I need a different perspective and am willing to pay for it... I'll try anything!

Hello. Just browsing the sleep threads looking for help with our own dc. Saw your thread hadnt been answered. I just wondered does she ever fall asleep for a few mins in car during the day? We find even a few mins sleep can make a big difference to bedtime.

Also perhaps listening to relaxing story tape might help?
