DD is 7.5 months. I posted about this before, but since the start of January she was waking up hourly. Turns out she had a virus however is much better now. However she is still waking up crying every hour/two hours and will only settle when I go into the room.
Suffice to say, I cannot carry on doing this, it's making me physically ill. I have a feeling it's a habit that she's got into so how do I break it?! I don't want her to cry it out but I'm at the end of my tether so if that's what it takes...

Hi Tequila, no brilliant advice for you... sorry... but I just wanted to say we're going through a similar thing. I just posted about a 1 year old who compulsively stands, but the root of it is that she had an awful virus so slept with me for about a week and is now having problems adjusting.

I did 2 days of sitting with her to help her drift off and get used to the cot. And from tonight I am going to try to leave her a few minutes, go in, lie her back down and kiss her, and then leave again for a few minutes. I'm not saying this is the right way for anyone else but it's the most gentle yet firm method I could thing of. I hope both of us get some sleep soon, it's truly awful!
