7mo won't sleep HELP please!

Hi,
My 7 mo hasn't been sleeping for the past couple of months after previously sleeping for 12 hours perfectly. I am exhausted and feel like i am going mad. She makes noises all night unless she is being held but seems asleep most of the time while she is doing it. The noises are kind of uncomfy sounding and if left she'll cry. Sometimes she does wake and cry though but mostly seems asleep.

The hv said it was prob sleep related as we had been cuddling her to sleep. We have now started trying to put her down when drowsy but not asleep at least for daytime naps. This hasn't helped. I know she can sleep for longer periods as sometimes she can do 6 hours at night so surely its not that she can only do one sleep cycle?

I always thought she was uncomfy and that was making her moan but not wake properly but not sure what with. Sometimes calpol seems to help but others not. We have been to the doctor who can't find anything wrong. Sometimes she farts a lot so i wondered if it was wind?

Any ideas would be appreciated! I feel like unless i know what the problem is i can't solve it. If we need to do some sleep training with her then fine but i don't want to spend time doing that if she's actually uncomfy. Am thinking and over analysing so much i just can't think straight!

Thanks!

I don't know what to say apart from all the usual stuff like it could be a growth spurt, reflux, hunger, separation anxiety, teething.

The only thing helping me is the hope that it won't go on much longer. Sorry I can't be more helpful- mine has never slept through apart from the odd 5/6 hours.

Hopefully someone will be able to help soon. Good luck.

Could it be food related.

Does it change depending what she has eaten/ how much and at what time.

Sometimes when our 6 month eats too much she struggles with her guts and either struggles to go to sleep or wiggles/cries in the night.

Then her poos come out really firm even though she's bf and likes drinking water with food.
