we are rather desperate, our 8 wk old really hates sleeping esp during the day and wont sleep on her own. we've trued every trick with the Moses basket and also bought a sleepyhead which sometimes works if shes in a really deep sleep when she goes down. im thinking of buying a cheap buggy for indoors that has a carrycot on it to see if she will sleep in that with the motion. we are in a first floor flat so our silver cross buggy frame lives in the car and we dont have a carrycot attachment for it anyway. do people this this is a good idea and could you recommend a cheap buggy frame and carrycot set? or should i try ebay maybe? happy to spend £100 ish. thanks so much for any advice or thoughts!

My DD used ot sleep in carrycot next to the tumble-drier/dishwasher at that age and it sent her off a treat (and she's a terrible sleeper in general so it was a blessed relief!!) So yes I think it's a good idea, I think at that age (DD anyway) they like feeling they are close to you and not cut off IYSWIM. The ambient noise of kitchen etc REALLY helped. Plus she adored her carrycot, I cried Blush when she had to switch to the main bit of the pushchair as she had always been so cosy in carrycot when tiny.
