When (what time) do you do the bedtime routine?

DD is 11 weeks old and sleeps really quite well (goes down after late evening feed usually about 10pm, wakes once between 2-4, then sleeps til around 6-7.30am...and then can sometimes be fooled convinced into going back to bed for a cheeky long lie for another couple of hours!).

We're getting ready to put her into her own room in the next couple of weeks and want to introduce a proper bedtime routine (probably feed, story, massage then bed). I don't want to drop the late evening feed as I reckon we'll end up with an extra night feed so don't think it's appropriate to do it after her early evening feed (5 or 6pm) then have an evening. Yet it feels really late to be doing it at 9pm-ish! Or do we do it at 9pm but pull it earlier little by little? We're confused...

What's the best time to do the bedtime routine?

I put my 4 1/2 month old to bed at 6.00pm, I start the routine at 5.30pm (by that I mean feeding her, i bath her earlier in the day) if we leave it any later she starts screaming with over tiredness. Confused
I dream feed her at 10.00pm and she used to be very good and only be up twice after that for feeds it this past week she's up A LOT MORE??? Gulp.

I put my 4.5 mth down at 7.30pm, after bath, story and feed. It used to be that be would happily self-settle if put down awake, and then wake for feeds every 4ish hours, but at the moment we're having an absolute nightmare - we can't put him down awake and even once he's asleep he'll only sleep for 2.5 - 3 hrs. I'm afraid I don't really have any advice but everything I've read suggests they should go down by 8pm-ish latest. Does he ask keep much during the day?

My LO is 11 weeks old as well and sleeps similar hours during the night with generally waking up just once to feed. However, we put him to bed at half 7 then do a dream feed at 10 when we go to bed. This means starting his bedtime routine of bath and feed at 6pm (he feeds for a really long time!) This allows him around 10 hours total sleep at night and gives me and my partner a couple of hours to ourselves in the evening.

Our 12 week old gets bathed at about 8pm we then spend the next few hours feeding and cuddling him and he'll eventually go to sleep at about 11/12ish. I feel like it should be earlier but he doesn't agree. He does then sleep through until about 8 though (at the moment - he loves to switch things up on a regular basis) so we're pretty lucky in that sense.

My DD has a bath at 7 followed by massage, feed and bed. Usually sleeps until any time between 2 and 4 then back down again until around 7:30.

On a good day..!

At that stage we began bath at 6.15, in bed by 7. Never did a dream feed - always just let wake up naturally.

Our DS always went to bed at 7pm from the day he came home from hospital, so I guess we started the 'routine' around 6.30pm - although I never did the massage thing Grin - he would wake for one feed around 1am until he slept through, think from around 8 months (long time ago now Grin). We were very lucky in that he always self settled but we were very strict and left the room immediately he went to bed.
