4 mo sleep weirdness

I have a 4 mo dd who is awesome but since coming back from holiday at xmas we are having some sleep issues. I am going to try and lay them out as clearly as I can because as well as these new issues I am also struggling with existing ones that I think are my fault.

  1. The main one is that she screams blue murder if my dh tries to put her down at night. He successfully puts her down for day naps at the weekend. He also was able to put her down before xmas and during the holiday. She gets so upset and then I take her off him, she instantly calms and then will often turn and smile at him!!!!WTF?

  2. She won't go to sleep without being rocked and is getting quite heavy! How do you teach a baby to send themselves to sleep? I have tried putting her down when she is sleepy but its getting her sleepy that seems to be the issue, without rocking that it is.

  3. Going to bed before 10pm!!! She just won't go down before!! I have tried to introduce a routine from her feed at 6pm: feed, bath, quiet play and then story by which time she is yawning and then we begin rocking. We then might feed again, go down, then up, then down, maybe another comfort feed and repeat until about 10pm!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the massive post, any advice welcome particularly with issue 1!!!

No 2 sounds like I am trying to put her down wide awake. I don't honest! I wait for when she is tired and then take her upstairs, shut the curtains etc. She may or may not be rubbing her eyes at thos point and resting her head on my shoulders.

I tried bedtime routine last night and she went down at 8pm. Woke at 11.30, 2.30, 5.30 and the last one she was a right bugger and is actually still awake and currently on jungle mat whilst I write this. All times I assumed for a fees. Is this wrong??
