Toddler sleeps on tummy

This is possibly a v stupid question but is it safe for my 21 month old to sleep on her tummy?

I know all advice up to age one says back only, but she will only sleep on her front at night and if I lay her on her back she immediately rolls over.

Is this a safe sleeping position for her? Not sure what I could do otherwise apart from staple her to the bed :o

Yes because she can roll, so she can roll back again. Once they can roll there's not much you can do about it!

DS started tummy sleeping at five months when he learned to roll, I used to turn him back but quickly realised there was no point as he would just turn over again.

DD has rarely slept on her back since she worked out rolling at 6mo. Sleeps on her tummy, face down, knees up, three teddy bears shoved under her stomach and legs. Looks like the least comfortable position in the world but there you go.

I wasn't aware that there were any concerns what position they sleep in once the baby is able to move themselves around. Certainly with a toddler who can move perfectly well I wouldn't worry about it.

Thank you, I didn't think it would be dangerous at her age but I spoke to a friend today who thought otherwise and then I became a bit paranoid.

Actually, I worry all the time about everything so it's not unusual.

Thanks again. I won't go in and flip her over.
