I need new blackout blinds as my cheapish ones are falling apart. They are the cheapset ones from Argos and I want something which'll last a bit!!

Help!

We got ours from B&Q - not very expensive & they make DS's room really dark.

Just had a blackout blind fitted by Hillarys and it is very dark when shut (but the blind looks cream on both sides). Also John Lewis do lots and can fit or you can cut them down easily.

I found the light would come in from the sides, should they be inside the window frame or hanging like curtains outside?

didn't know you could get them fitted, was it expensive?

Can also recommend Ikea, much cheaper than John Lewis and almost as good

my curtain shop lady gave me the best advice

buy blackout material and sticky velcro and stick it to the window frame

beats the blinds any day of the week
