What happened to my good sleeper!

DD is 6 weeks and 1 day old. Until now, she's been a (relatively) good sleeper - feeding on a 3 hour schedule. At night, she's gone anything from 3-6 hours at each stint, settling down after each feed reasonably well.

But... For the last 3 nights, she's fed on schedule (possibly roots a bit earlier sometimes so maybe the occassional 2-2.5 hour gap between feeds). But she hasn't settled back down well. We've had maybe 2 straight hours each night with the rest of the night being filled with wakenings/whimpering/grunting/screaming every 15-30 mins.

What's has happened? Is this the 6-8 week "fussiness" I'm reading about or something else? What can I do to get her back to 3 hourly feeding at night (with actual sleep in between?!)

Thanks

6 weeks is awfully early to be on a 3 hour schedule. Maybe she needs more food during the day?

She's FF so I thought 3 hourly was the standard. Midwife got us on it in week 1.

She could be having a growth spurt, normally around 6wks is their 2nd growth spurt
