How long does your toddler take to fall asleep at bedtime?

DS 19mo is currently taking anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour and a half to drop off to sleep at bedtime. He doesn't cry, just chats away in his cot and plays with his toys. Has always had a strict routine, is up around 7, naps around 1pm-2.30 and in bed for around 6.45/7. Me going in makes no difference and he's self settled at bedtime for months so don't want to change that but is there anything I should be doing? Is this normal?!

My 17mo dd is exactly the same! She also has a good routine and has done since 6 weeks. I think as long as she's happy and not screaming the house down then she's fine! X

That makes me feel better! Up to about 4 months ago he would fall straight to sleep, so I think I was a bit spoilt!!!

DD 2.5 who always been an amazing sleeper (compared to my DS who has caused me to frequent this board) currently often takes an hour sometimes more - she mostly chats to toys and tells them off.. Occasionally she insists we go in to change a toys nappy,or comfort them when crying but generally she is happy enough.
