Hi
DS2 has taken after his big brother and is a rubbish sleeper. He's always woken at least 3 times a night, can't self settle and will only nap for 30 mins in the cot. I have to do most of his naps in the sling because this is the only place I can get him to sleep for any length of time (he hates the buggy and car seat). I'm writing this with him in the sling in the kitchen standing next to the extractor fan so he can't hear DS1 running amok.
Anyway, his crap sleep has got even crapper. He is now waking up every 2 hours at night - and feeding every time. Given it takes almost an hour to get him back down I'm getting hardly any sleep. I'm not sure if he's doing this to get himself back to sleep or if he's genuinely hungry (he's ebf and I feed to sleep).
This has been going on for the past 4-5 days. As if that's not bad enough as of 2 nights ago he won't let me put him back in the cot after the first wake up!! He will go down for 10 mins and then wake up. I'm now having to sleep with him on my chest in order to get any sleep at all. What with that and the sling naps he is almost constantly attached to me which is driving me a bit potty.
He feeds every 3 hours during the day. He has suspected reflux and is on medication for this, but I'm starting to think this may be a dreaded growth spurt (maybe wishful thinking because that way it might be over sooner than any other option).
What do you think? Is it the growth spurt? I honestly can't remember what DS1 was like at this point. I'm beyond tired.
