11 month old screaming at night

My DS is 11 months and normally sleeps okay, only waking once a night about 4 ish for a quick feed. For about the last 4 nights he has been very disturbed at nite, waking at least every couple of hrs and getting really upset. His cry is almost like he is in pain and when you pick him up he throws himself . He has no temperature. Any ideas?

Not sure tbh. Could it noble teething? Both of mine used to have dreadful
nights with teething - screaming for what seemed like hours. Does he have any other symptoms or is it just disturbed nights?

Thanks for replying! Had a better night last night so fingers crossed! He is snotty today so maybe was coming down with a cold
