Dummy recommendations for a 6 wk old Pls

I'm a dummy virgin, ds didn't have one. Am trying to use one for my dd (6 wks) to save my sanity and she loves it to fall asleep with but it falls out about 10 times before she's got to her deep sleep so I'm the official dummy monitor sticking it back in again before she yells. Are there any that you recommend that you found didn't fall out for a wee one like this? I've only tried the Tommee Tippee cherry type one made of rubber for 0+months. Don't really want to buy millions so any advice would be appreciated.
Also, do your babes wake in the night wanting their dummy again and until they can get old enough to find them and stick them back in themselves do you have to help them??

I used the orthadontic ones(not sure if ive spelt that right) they were quite good. But if i were you id try getting baby to sleep without dummy...if you can because when they fall asleep with a dummy or a bottle they wake up panicing wheres it gone...where as if they fall asleep without then they can soothe themselves back to sleep. Try swaddling him and putting him on your shoulder and gently pat his back then when he seems calm lay him in his cot he may fall asleep. My son used to bf to sleep and in the night he was still waking 6times a night when he was 8months old so i tried the pick up put down method he now only wakes 2times. But 6weeks is too younge for pick put down so they say swaddle and pat and shh to soothe them to sleep. Try it it might save you many sleepless nights putting the dummy in everytime he wakes. You'll find he'll wake for the dummy, like my son was waking for the boob if they cant have it they wont wake for it.

Hiya, i used the MAWS ones and have used them since. (orthadontic) He sucks like Maggie off the Simpsons so it never fell out. I dont know if thats because of how he sucked or if it was the make of the dummy really. They are about £3.70 for 2.C isnt one of these children who panics when he cant find it which is a good thing. He will have it when hes tired and when hes going to bed.

Think the NUK ones are supposed to be good for the little babies - I used MAM and these were pretty good but I did have to do some dummy replacing!

We used the NUK ones with ds and are using them at the moment with dd.

DS has AVENT ones and they are good. he's nearly 6 weeks. tried MAM ones, but he didn't get on with those. i think the teat bit was a bit too big compared to the AVENT ones.

Hi I had to trY about 10 different types of dummies before I found one dd would take. The onlY ones that worked for us were boots shaped soothers (the teat is at an angle)Good luck.

my 12 wk old has a dummy to sleep but once she falls asleep and spits it out thats it i dont put it back in. i think a lot of problems are caused when even though the baby isnt upset the mam thinks oh no better stick it back in! mines started sucking her thumb if she wakes back up. as for style of dummy she seems to prefer the cherry soothers and they dont seem to fall out untill shes well gone.

we use the tommee tippee cherry ones you have got and have done since day dot with both (well not literally but its felt like it!)

Its the only dummies both of mine will take now and have never had an issue of what to do if they fall out at night - mine use them to get to sleep and thats it - maybe ive been lucky?!
