What time do your 1 year olds go to bed?

Is 6 too early? She was going at half 7, but now it's dark earlier it seems a waste of the day.

Is it too early or do others go around this time? Everyone I know seems to put their DC to bed 7 at the earliest!

DS is 18mo and is in bed by 6.30 usually. Until he was about a year he had his bath at 5.30 and was usually asleep by 6pm. He wakes up anytime between 6am (most often) and 7.30am (highly unusual sadly!)

I created a similar thread a little while back as my dd has always gone to bed at six and I was worried it was too early. But you wld be surprised the amount of people that put their DC's to bed 6/630. My DD is now almost a year and I can't see it changing anytime soon. With the time change I have had to push it quite a bit lately so as not to be putting her to bed at 5 new time! What time does your DC wake up out of interest and finish her last nap? It's so hard to know what to do for the best isn't it

Lightupatnightpants · 28/10/2013 19:34

Between 7 and 8pm most nights. Sometimes she falls asleep at 6.30pm if she got up early or didn't nap long and sometimes she sleeps for ages in the day and goes to bed at 10pm!

NachoAddict · 28/10/2013 19:37

Between 7 and 8 usually, we don't have tea till 5/5.30.

LittleRedDinosaur · 28/10/2013 19:37

7ish (I don't get back from work til 6, 'tis rubbish)

howmuchwouldyoutake · 28/10/2013 19:39

Between 7.20 and 7.40. We're not home most week nights until gone 6 so that's the earliest we can do. Works for us. My friend puts hers to bed at 11pm - she's a sahm and likes a lie in - they're both 19 months.

LynetteScavo · 28/10/2013 19:43

11 hours before you want them to wake up.

MadeOfStarDust · 28/10/2013 19:45

didn't really care much about bedtimes at that age as I was a SAHM - so went to bed when tired.... (all of us..)

Safyre · 28/10/2013 19:46

7pm or thereabouts, because we have to get him up at 6:30am on work days.

Thurlow · 28/10/2013 19:47

21mo goes at roughly 7.30 (not long after 7 if her naps screw up, maybe nearer 8 if her naps are good). But that's what fits for us - she doesn't need to get up until 7.30, and I often don't get home until 6.45. If you're happy with your DC sleeping 6-5/6 then it's fine.

DSJamesHathaway · 28/10/2013 19:51

Between 6pm and 7pm. 6:20pm today.

NoAddedSuga · 28/10/2013 19:55

Dd 12 month goes to bed between 7-7.30.

Shes up anytime from 7.30 - 8am

happydaze77 · 28/10/2013 20:12

Dd goes to bed around 7pm, is asleep around 7:30pm and sleeps for 11 1/2 to 12 hours. I agree with previous comments that it depends on how they nap during the day.
