Has any one got any tips for self soothing a 7 month old please?
I've always got him to sleep by nursing and my worry is now he's getting old I can't do that. When I put him down he he doesn't cry just moans. But when I leave him it gets worse!

I usually place my hand on my LO's chest to calm her down. Then I walk away and leave her to grunt away and eventually fall asleep.
If she's really unsettled I resort to a dummy but I make sure I take it out about 10 mins after she's dozed off!

When feeding to sleep stopped working (around 5-6months), I used to lie on the bed with dd. She was on her back and I was on my side, facing her, with my arm across her legs/lower body. I would be as boring as possible (pretending to be asleep worked well). If she got very upset I would pick her up and start again but she gradually fell asleep. I would then creep away or if I was feeling really brave transfer her to her cot.
