problems with my 11mo

My DD has always been an excellent sleeper and would always do 6.45 until somewhere between 6.15-6.45. She settled herself (with a bit of whining sometimes) and slept through barring illness.

She suddenly is finding it more difficult to settle to bed. Instead of going off to sleep within 10 mins or so, she shreaks and screams (not cries) at the top of her voice for up to 1/2 an hour before dropping off. One eve I tried going in every 5 minutes or so but this just agitated her and made her cry as she thought she could come out. She has been doing this tonight since 15 mins ago and is now just dropping off. Is this just a noisy phase where she's just testing out noises?!!

She is then fine until about 5.30 when she wakes hysterically crying and can't be resettled anywhere. I have tried calpol as she is getting her molars through, but at this time it makes no difference, she can't go back off. She then falls asleep in the car on the way to the childminder which means she definitely isn't getting enough night sleep. If she woke at this time before, I would just leave her making noises and she would usually drop back off for up to an hour. Any ideas? Or better ideas for a teething remedy that might help her go back off?

TIA

When, and for how long, does she nap in the day?

it depends on whether she's at home or at the childminders, but at home with me she has about 45 mins from 9.30 then I wake her up, and about 90 mins from roughly 1.30-3 although sometimes this is a shorter.
At the CM she rarely has a proper morning nap, just one in the car on the way somewhere, then tends to do 1-2.30 in the afternoon. I put her in her bed at 6.30 and she used to fall asleep about 6.45, now it is closer to 7.

bump. Still getting 5.20/5.30 wakeups. I have been leaving her moaning/whinging for up to an hour to see if she'll go back off but never any joy. This morning, she was still so tired that she screamed and cried hysterically all morning until going for a 90 minute nap at 8.15! The settling to bed is acceptable, I think she's just being noisy but the early waking is difficult because she's so tired and stressed all morning. Help!
