hello.. my baby is 6 weeks old.. since last night she won't sleep in her crib. for as long as i hold her she sleeps but wakes up as soon as i put her down. also when she wakes up she acts really hungry and cries with fingers in mouth but lets go of the breast after a few minutes. I don't know what to do.. I am really exhausted now.. could she have gas?? how can i get her to sleep peacefully??please advise..

It's possible that she is becoming more aware of her surroundings and of being apart from you.
A couple of things to try are to warm the mattress before you put her in it so the cold isn't a shock. I used to do this by feeding sitting on my bed with my feet in the Moses basket!
Also, stuff a muslin down your front all day so it really smells of you, then put that in the basket so baby can still smell you.
White noise also helps babies sleep, you can download apps on your phone, or just find a video on YouTube and play that.

Are you winding her after feeds? If she writhes around when you put her down you could try winding her again. Bicycling the legs and gently massaging the tummy in a clockwise motion around the tummy button (use olive oil as massage oil) can help it pass the other way.

Infacol before every feed can help with winding too.
