4 mo having nightmares?

My 4 mo dd is generally a good sleeper at night and the 4 month sleep regression hasnt hit us too hard. But the past 2 nights shes been having trouble settling, waking up every few minutes crying and needing comfort, this lasts around 2 hours after bedtime, then sleeps well.

When she cries she doesnt even seem very awake, and once comforted instantly begins to settle again in my arms. I then put her down, she stays asleep for 5/10/20 mins then the whole thing happens again and again...and again.

I cant think of anything im doing differently, she has had a mild cold the past few days but doesnt seem to be bothering her too much. So im even wondering if shes having nightmares, or if its all part of the dreaded 4 month sleep regression.

Any ideas or advice muchly appreciated!

Afaik there's a massive sleep regression at 4 months.
It will pass but it may be a hard few nights, sorry I know that's not what you want to hear.
