Clothes/sleeping bag for daytime nap??

Hello, random question but hoping for some MN wisdom! My 10mo DS takes his daytime naps in his cot, in the dark. I currently remove his trousers and socks for each nap, and zipping him into his 2.5 tog nighttime sleeping bag (still wearing vest and t-shirt). I think being in his sleeping bag helps him know it's sleepytime, same as at night.

However, getting him dressed is becoming a real battle at the moment (backbending, screaming, thrashing about like a little monkey!) so I really don't want to have to get him dressed three times each day. What do your LO's sleep in? Would you keep them in their stretchy jeans/socks and use a thinner sleeping bag?

Don't want him overheating but there must be an easier way of doing this??

Hi Bot,

While it's been warm(ish) still we've been stripping dd down to her vest, then popping her in a 1.5 or (more recently) her 2.5 tog sleeping bag. If it's chillier and her clothes are comfy we put her in still dressed. If not then we put her in her sleepsuit and bag.

Agree totally that they're a nightmare to change. I'm currently mastering the fine art of putting on her nappy and clothes as she crawls away from me!

Also agree that zipping them into their bags gives them a nudge that it's sleep time. Don't know what I'd do without sleeping bags - dd's a very athletic sleeper so blankets would be a nightmare.
