Please help me sort out daytime naps (8mo)

DS is nearly 8mo. He sleeps like a dream at night and he always has. Apart from a few nights when he was teething or unwell with a cold nights have never been a problem. Daytime naps are dreadful. I cannot get him to sleep for any decent amount of time. He can only stay awake for up to 2 hours and he falls asleep with no major issues. He used to nap for anything between 30 to 45 minutes. Not much is it? And it is now down to 20 minutes. It's been like that since he started rolling over like mad. He falls asleep on his back and then after 20-25 minutes rolls onto his tummy. Strangely enough it doesn't wake him at night. He just sleeps on his tummy for the rest of the night. But it ALWAYS wakes him during the day. Horrible.
I have tried everything: he sleeps in the dark room, he never liked swaddling (and is too big for that now anyway isn't he?), white noise makes no difference.
Please help. I would chew my arm off to get an hour break during the day.

Since mine started rolling I have had to do daytime naps in the pram as the straps prevent the roll-then-sit-up routine. I am lucky enough to have enough space in the hall to leave it set up; she prefers a nice long walk but if the weather is terrible or I have things to do in the house I jiggle the pram in the hall for a bit with the seat lying down and she eventually goes off and tends to stay off for an hour.

I might try and do that. He tends to fall asleep in the buggy when we're out (not for hours but still better than at home) so maybe it will work!

What happens when he wakes? Do you leave him for a bit to see if he goes back? Or is he crying?

He usually wakes in a very good mood, just crawls around the cot and babbles. But he will not go back to sleep, never ever. But then after such short naps he gets tired and whiney really quickly unfortunately.
