Teething and more sleep?

DD is 8 months. She has already cut her first tooth and is teething again so I suspect her second is on the way. She slept 12hrs last night, and today she has slept a total of 4 hours over 3 naps and has just nodded off again. She never normally naps at this time. She has not been very active either. Sitting and playing, rather than crawling everywhere and getting int everything.

Just wondered if this was normal? I don't recall her being so sleepy with her first tooth. She has no other symptoms and I have given calpol and Teetha.

Anyone??

She was up at 7am this morning. Fed and back to bed. Been sleeping since 9am.

Is this normal?

Hmm nope mine sleeps dreadfully when teething but didn't want you to go unanswered. Honestly if she doesn't have any other symptoms (no fever?) I would thank my lucky stars not worry.

Thanks mini. That's what I was expecting, I.e. no sleep? In that case, I should count my lucky stars and put my feet up catch up with the house work.

when mine is extra sleepy (v rare event) it often means she's coming down with a cold so worth keeping an eye out for that... but if not I guess it's just your DD's way of handling teeth Envy!

Well I suppose we'll see. I'm now thinking that I will get zero sleep tonight. Hmm
