Unless we are upstairs with her.
Our dd is almost 9months, and even though she will sleep through the night (sometimes waken for her dummy), she will fall asleep downstairs on the floor when shes playing.
Even though we know shes tied, she wont go off in her cot unless we are still with her.
atm she is still in our room, decorating her bedroom!
How can we get her to sleep in her bed, its not a real problem at the moment, but thinking about the future.
TIA

I would consider trying the slow withdrawl technique. Start off by putting her in her cot and then sit on the floor in her room until she drops off. Slowly move further away from the cot until after about three nights you are at the door.
I think you should really try to make a specific routine of her bedtime and make sure she always goes into her cot tired but awake. Try not to let her fall asleep downstairs. When it's bedtime, she goes in her cot, end of story.
When she knows this is now the routine I'm sure she'll be fine. I think at the moment she's probably confused as to what her bedtime means.
Hope I'm making some sense.
Good Luck.
