5.12 am today. DS2 is 18 months and this has been going on nearly a year- uurgh. So tired but don't know how to change it.

Dd is lying next to me hugging my arm - every time I try and leave to get back to my bed she stirs and cries. She gets sleep, DH gets sleep while I get to perch on a cotbed reading Mumsnet. I'm 6 months pregnant... I need sleep Hmm

Sorry to hear that, being tired is so rubbish isn't it? Hope you get some rest soon

Thanks - early mornings suck. You must be exhausted too.

Luckily - at 6.00 I hand her over to DH otherwise I'd never get rest Smile She woke 3 times in the night too. At 26 months, and recently weaned I thought we'd be getting past this. Time for some sleep.

I don't have small children (about a year into undisturbed nights!) but I do have insomnia and just had a horrible nightmare. HATE not being able to sleep and then spend the day exhausted. Your babies will sleep one day: hang in there!

Thanks Smile I know this tiredness will pass, it's been going on so long I sometimes can't see an end to it.

Chin up, Five - with a bit of luck the darker mornings we'll be getting soon will give you a few more zzzs in the mornings.
