I wonder what counts as controlled crying. Personally it is not something I would do but I can see why others do it and maybe I will eat my words if my next baby never sleeps.
However, I sometimes wonder if I've been doing it unintentionally anyway. Do they have to be full on crying for it to be controlled crying? To me there are different types of crying and some are ok to leave and some aren't.
Anyway, to my point. Does this count as controlled crying? I am having trouble getting my son down for his afternoon nap, most of the time he's fine for his other naps. So today I put him down, he was awake and started fussing with little moaning cries, this turned into longer proper wails after a couple of minutes so I went in, picked him up and when he was calm, put him down again. He was ok for a minute or so and then fussing cries with one proper wail and then straight away fussing cries. He did a couple of
wails lasting a few seconds and then fussing
Cries inbetween for the next 10 minutes on and off. Everytime I thought about going in his cries turned to going to sleep type moans so I didn't and then he'd cry properly again for a few seconds.
Does this count as controlled crying because he wasn't content and quiet?
