Cosleeping - almost 4 month old now rolling...

Have been happily cosleeping with my wee boy since almost the beginning, I don't have a partner so he has half the bed and we've been great, I love it for his night time feeds, and he sleeps longer with me there.

However, last week he learnt to roll over, and the last couple of nights has been waking more, rolling onto his tummy and happily gurgling and shouting for an hour or so at 4am, and also rolling right into me. He can't roll off the bed, but I'm worried he'll get squashed into me and, as I'm tired with the 4am playtimes, I won't notice.

Has anyone else who cosleeps been through something similar? I guess the nocturnal activity times will pass as he masters this new skill (he normally wakes up a few times to feed but falls straight back to sleep), but I don't want to suffocate him in the meantime! I think putting him in a cot for a few weeks probably more trouble than it's worth.

Thank you! :)

Try a co-sleeping cot? Some types (eg Bednest) allow you to erect a low barrier (about 10 cm) on the side, which prevents the baby from rolling onto you but still allows easy access.
