Belly sleeping

LO 7 months has taken a liking to putting himself on his belly to sleep once I have settled him down. He seems to sleep for longer this way, safe to leave him?

if he has put himself in that position then ok to leave him. Trying to roll him back over will be an all night task if he has code his tummy! Smile

code is chosen....Grin

My DD did this at 12 weeks old, as soon as she could roll she was rolling on to her tummy and I just let her be as she would wake and scream if I rolled her back.

Yes absolutely fine if your LO has got there himself. My DS (also 7 months) is now frequently found in the morning right down the bottom of his cot, lying sideways across the width of his cot either on his belly or his side.

He too seems to sleep better/more deeply now his can till around like this.

Yeah his sleep has improved over the last week and when I've crept in at 7am as he normally wakes between 5.30-6 he's fast asleep at the top of the cot width ways lol. Very cute.

DS did this at about the same age and immediately seemed much more comfortable! And like you say he ends up in all sorts of different positions when he's in his cot now-it's very cute! Sadly he hasn't read the 'sleep in till 7am' bit of the manual...!
