Cot bed size or single duvet?

Am not planning to take the sides off any time soon but thought about getting a duvet for DS 2yo.

Am hoping for another baby next year but there isn't one yet, so he will be in his existing cot bed for at least another year until we need it again.

Obv don't want to throw money away, is a cot bed duvet a waste of time, or would a single just swamp him?

we use ikea cot bed duvet on our dc's junior beds. single fits sideways with half tucked under, far too much fabric, just too big imo

I almost bought a single duvet for our cot bed as I also didn't want to waste money. I'm so glad I didn't as it would have been massive and swamped the bed and DS, even turned sideways.

I bought a single for a cot bed & and its fine. I just fold it over.
