20 month old stopped napping

For the last three days my 20 month old has refused to nap ( even though he is rubbing eyes so is clearly tired) he is cutting his back molars so this could be the reason. That said , he will nap at nursery ( goes one day a week ) but then I can't get him to bed until after 8! Anyone's else's children dropping nap early? Off and on its verb going on for three weeks.
Thanks

Oh dear! He has never been a good napper but I enjoyed Getting 40 mins to myself! He is super active so I am
Always running around at playgroups whilst most mums have a nice cuppa/chat!
Is it normal to feel absolutely exhausted with a toddler or do I have a high maintenance one ?

I feel your pain! DS1 was never a good sleeper. He was 8 months before he slept longer than 4 hours, 14 months before he slept from 7-5. He's never slept 12 hours straight. From 7 months he took an hours nap in the afternoon but would rarely fall asleep in a buggy or in the car. He's been walking/running since 11.5 months, at nursery (3days a week) since he was 13 months. He has a lot of energy which I try to burn off with loads of outdoor exercise. He stopped napping at 19 months, one month before I had DS2. Great timing kiddo! I could really have done with that hour to rest myself! DS2 is now 4.5 months and DS1 has probably had a nap about 5 times since he was born. I struggle to sleep more than 5 hours a night (2 whilst pregnant - such fun!) no matter how tired I am, so maybe it's in the genes. Later nights, more exercise etc seems to have no effect.

Hope your little one gets back into napping! Smile

Anjou , poor you ! That is bad timing. I think us mummy's need the nap more than the babies !
On the plus side, I am going to put him to
bed early.
Thank you for the replies.
