Going on holiday with 9mth DS

His sleep has settled down a bit recently. We r off to devon for a week soon and travel cot is to be used. What r your experiences of this? Will hols disrupt sleep? Any tips? Thank u Smile

Try practising with the travel cot before you go and possibly buy a better mattress for it as they tend to be very thin and uncomfortable compared to a normal one. Keep to a routine as much as you can and take familiar bedding/sleeping bags/teddies etc. Blackout curtains really help, and white noise can block out local ambient noise that's different from at home. Also think about the temperature, will they be hotter/colder than normal?

Yes, blackout curtains are really useful! I brought my DS to Stockholm two weeks ago for three days, and he woke up at 3am every morning...
